For example, on July 11, head to the Berhard Museum, a restored Victorian farmhouse, to learn about daily life in the 19th century and view authentic artifacts. Feeling crafty? Try your hand at building your own replica fruit crate or vintage toys. On July 18, stop by the Gold Rush Museum to walk through an interactive mining tunnel or try your hand at panning for real gold!

One of the region’s favorite summer traditions returns with four days of family fun. The Placer County Fair features carnival rides, livestock shows, live entertainment, delicious fair food and interactive exhibits for all ages. Visitors can also enjoy nightly performances from Los Moralitos Circus, family activities in the Family Fun Zone and free concerts throughout the fairgrounds.
